A little Crosley, the only American car entered in the road races at the airport in Linden, N.J., holds its own alongside a Rolls Royce in the 100-mile race, Aug. 22, 1949. The Crosley, driven by Frank Burch of New York, finished the course, while the Rolls dropped out. Its driver was Preston Gray of Scituate, Mass., whose brother Neil Gray took second place.
