This is the garage near the home of 54-year-old bachelor George Metesky at 17 Fourth Street in Waterbury, Connecticut on Jan. 22, 1957, in which police said was found a lathe and other evidence described as equipment for making bombs. Metesky was arrested on January 22 and later taken to New York City for further questioning. He was identified by police as the ??sMad Bomber,??? who for 16 years placed bombs in public gathering places in New York. (AP Photo/MZ)
