Cleveland Indians??? hurler Bob Feller and his wife Virginia stand on board the liner Mauretania on arrival in New York City on Nov. 20, 1952 after storm-tossed voyage that injured nearly 50 passengers in a hurricane off Nova Scott. The Fellers were in the ship???s smoke room when vessel took three violent rolls in a freak cross-sea about midnight on November 18, sending passengers, furniture and glasses sliding from one end of the room to the other.
