President Dwight Eisenhower tries on a tri-corner hat presented to him by the members of the Coggeshall School Continentals of Newport, a PTA sponsored drum and bugle corps on July 22, 1960 in Newport, Rhode Island. The gift for his grandson came at the conclusion of a ceremony dedicating a small park here in his honor. The two-acre grassy plot in the center of the city became ?Eisenhower Park.? This was the second appearance the President had made in his three vacations in this area. (AP Photo)
