Mrs. Frank Costello, escorted by Unidentified New York City detective, makes slight attempt to shield her face as she leaves Roosevelt hospital, May 3, 1957 where her gambler-husband's gun shot wound was examined and treated. Costello was shot by unidentified gunman in the lobby of his central park west apartment house as he returned home with his wife and a friend, theatrical agent William Kennedy. After visit to the hospital, where doctors said X-rays showed no bullet damage to the skull. Costello and his wife went to west 54th street police station for questioning into the shooting.
