President Franklin D. Roosevelt shown chatting with sister Josephine of the order of St. Mary at Rochester, Minn., on August 8, 1934 on his visit to that city and to the Mayo brothers hospital. The order of St. Mary operates a hospital in intimate connection with the Mayo Organization. It was founded as the result of a tornado during which one of the Mayo brothers acted as physician and the sisters nursed the victims. Later St. Mary's hospital was established and Dr. Mayo was named directing surgeon. (AP Photo)
