Seminarians lead a procession up the path to the church at the top of Sheshan Hill on the outskirts of Beijing, China in May 1994. Sheshan is one of China's most popular holy sites. During the chaotic Cultural Revolution of 1966-76, the church and many other holy sites were damaged by Red Guards. Sheshan was repaired and reopened in 1981. Its seminary, one of 24 in China, resumed operations a year later and graduated its first priests in 1985. (AP Photo/Greg Baker)
