This is the Bradley Transportation Co. limestone carrier Cedarville which sank in the Straits of Mackinac after a collision with a Norwegian freighter in 1965. The Straits of Mackinac is the strip of water that connects two of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, in Michigan. Built in 1927 as the iron ore carrier A.F. Harvey, the vessel was converted to a self-unloader for limestone transport and had a capacity of 12, 846 tons. The ship's keel length is 588 feet and it has a 60-foot beam. All but one member of Cedarville's crew of 35 were from Rogers City, Mich., the ship's home port. (AP Photo)
