The Gentlemen's Singles Championship trophy is presented to the men's tennis singles winner on court after the finals competition at Wimbledon, England. The trophy, a sliver gilt cup and cover presented by the All England Club, stands 18 1/2 inches high and has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches. The cup shown photographed in 1980 has a classical style with two handles and a raised foot. The lid is formed with a pineapple on top and there is a head wearing a winged helmet beneath each handle. Commencing in 1949 all champions have received a miniature replica of the trophy. (AP Photo)
