Both the standard model, left, and the desk-size RCA electron microscopes, which have opened new sights to sciences, are shown May 23, 1944 with the men, Dr. James Hillier, left and Dr. V. K. Zworykin, who supervised their development in RCA laboratories. The large microscope is a highly flexible instrument which may be adapted to numerous kinds of special studies. The desk-size microscope is less flexible, but capable of the same high degree of magnification as the larger instrument. (AP Photo)
