Millions of tons of tanks, guns and munitions of all kinds are pouring into France to support the Allied offensive. Chief ordnance officer is Maj.Gen.Henry Benton Sayler, of Huntington, Indiana, who is touring depots in France. Gen. Sayler is personally supervising the smooth supply of the huge quantities of armamonts needed by the fighting troops. This photo shows soldiers breaking up the old German anti-tank defenses at an Ordinance depot in Normandy, May 8, 1944. Other uses will be found for the materials recovered. (AP Photo)
