The top of the Statue of Liberty's crown is seen, June 2, 1952. The statue is 151 feet from base to torch; the overall height from the base of the foundation to the torch in 305 feet. An elevator goes up part way, then there are 168 steps inside the statue to the head, which holds 30 people. A ladder with 54 rungs leads to the arm which holds the torch, but visitors are no longer permitted there. (AP Photo/Robert Kradin)
