In 1971 Henry Eames built the middle section of the landmark Eames Red House on Union Avenue in Framingham, Mass., photographed Wednesday, May 26, 2004, was moved to Prospect Street after a valiant effort in 1969 to keep the building on its site failed. It was February 1676 when 11 American Indians raided the home of Thomas Eames while he was away in Boston, pleading for protection at his remote house on Mount Wayte. Eames' wife, Mary, and at least three of her children were killed. Three other children carried away and the barn and cattle were destroyed in what came to be known as the
