Officer Jim Thruwanger displays the only bathtub on a Navy ship aboard the USS Iowa during its duty in the Persian Gulf in this Dec. 16, 1987 photo. The tub was built for President Franklin Roosevelt, who suffered from polio, for his 1943 trip to meet Winston Churchill and Josef Stalin in Tehran. The battleship has seen duty from ferrying the President to fighting battles from the South Pacific to Korea and escorting convoys through the Persian Gulf. The new port for the retired USS Iowa might be the home of California's annual asparagus festival, the gritty agriculture port town of Stockton on the San Joaquin River, about 80 miles inland from San Francisco.(AP Photo/Eric Risberg)
