A pigeon flies over an exhibition hall the day after its roof collapsed leaving at least 66 people dead, 29 January 2006, in Chorzow. Rescue teams abandoned their search for survivors from the wreckage of the exhibition hall at midday on Sunday and prepared to clear the debris of the collapsed roof with heavy machinery, a rescue official said. The center of the roof caved in at about 5:15 p.m. (1615 GMT) Saturday, apparently under heavy snow, as people attended a pigeon fanciers' exhibition in the 10,000-square-metre hall.
