Rescuers projectors illuminate the site of the snow-laden exhibition hall which collapsed 28 January 2006 in Katowice, killing at least 20 people and injuring 100. Another 100 were believed still to be trapped under the hall's corrugated metal roof at 11:45 pm (2245 GMT), and rescuers with sniffer dogs and lifting equipment were working to reach the survivors under the jumble of metal beams and sheets. Voices of the injured could still be heard, and several people trapped inside had used their mobile phones to call rescuers and family.
