3D computed tomography (CT) scan of the chest of a 22 year old female patient with cough and general weakness, diagnosed with miliary tuberculosis, showing miliary nodules. Miliary refers to innumerable small 1-4 millimetre pulmonary nodules throughout the lungs. On a chest X-ray, the differential diagnosis of miliary pattern includes miliary tuberculosis, histoplasmosis, sarcoidosis, pneumonia, bronchoalveolar carcinoma, pulmonary siderosis, and hematogenous metastases from thyroid, kidney, and sarcoma primary cancers.
