"MANNY", a robotic mannequin used by the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest Laboratory to simulate a human user of protective clothing. In addition to being fully articulated, Manny has systems that simulate sweating and breathing. The mannequin is used to test the suitability of clothing such as space suits, fire-fighting protection and hazardous environment suits.
