STORY COPY: The U.S. Air Force has announced the Kratos XQ-58A Valkyrie unmanned aircraft will enter tests to act as a go-between to pass data between stealth fighters. According to defence blog thewarzone, Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, described a "connect-a-thon" experimentation programme at a Defense Writers Group breakfast in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday (12 Nov). The experiment would hopefully link F-22 Raptors and F-35A Joint Strike Fighters, which cannot communicate effectively between each other, especially in full stealth modes. The XQ-58A Valkyrie demonstrator, a long-range, high subsonic unmanned air vehicle completed its inaugural flight March 5, 2019 at Yuma Proving Grounds, Arizona. At the time, Doug Szczublewski, Air Force Research Laboratory???s XQ-58A Program Manager, said: ??sXQ-58A is the first example of a class of UAV that is defined by low procurement and operating costs while providing game changing combat capability.???
