In this photo provided by the Herrick familly, Ron Herrick pushes his twin brother, Richard, in a wheel chair, Jan. 30, 1955, as they leave Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Mass., following the first sucessful organ transplant. Ron donated a kidney to Richard who suffered from chronic nephritis, an inflamation of the kidneys.
