The herbalist puts the collected plants in a dryer (35o) with a dehumidifier to extract water from the fresh plants, therefore preserving them and their main active ingredients. Southern wormwood is known to be a dewormer and was used as an insecticide. It was also used as a stimulant, tonic and astringent.
