Netherlands - Schiermonnikoog - 04-01-2019; On the night of January 1st and 2nd, the Swiss cargo ship MSC Zoe lost more than 270 Sea containers in the North Sea close to Germany and Holland. A few of those containers and loads of products washed up on the Dutch shores. The contents of these containers left a trail of rubbish on the beaches of the Wadden Islands. At the end, all the collected waste is thrown on a large mountain and is later brought to the mainland. The Dutch army was instructed to help the Dutch locals to clean the beaches.
