Living above the shop is what it's all about for Nicky who bought this 16th century building in a picturesque Sussex village some three years ago. The ground floor formerly a florists, was quickly stocked with Nicky's unique take on clothes, jewellery, vintage furniture and retro home accessories. ?Nicky kept the decoration fresh and simple, painting all the walls and beams white. ?Using paint she's a practised hand at transforming ?furniture, ?upholstery and even the rug on the floor was given a quick whitewash. ? ? ?The first floor beamed living room is furnished with an eclectic mix of old, new and quirky up cycled pieces found in antique fairs and markets. ? ?The old world charm of the bedrooms and the bathroom are updated with contemporary accessories. ? Nicky has recently been joined in the enterprise by son Tom, a chef who has taken over part of the ?shop and turned it into a cafe - ?just in time for the Christmas festivities!?
