Pictured: The honey hunters One of the last death-defying honey hunters dangles up to 500ft off the side of a cliff in order to harvest extremely rare honey. The honey, which has hallucinogenic properties, is made and defended by Himalayan giant bees - the largest honeybee in the world which can grow an inch long. Professional photographer Renan Ozturk from Park City in Utah, US, travelled to the remote village of Kulung, Nepal, home to one of the last honey hunters in the world - Mauli Dhan. Mauli, 57, will climb hundreds of feet up a narrow bamboo ladder using smouldering grass to create smoke that disorients the bees so he can cut away at the large hive without being stung too many times.
