FASCINATING FOOTAGE and a series of images from the First World War showing how seaplanes were used in combat have remerged this week, ahead of the anniversary of the first ever successful flight of a seaplane (March 28). The first part of the black and white footage, taken while preparing a seaplane to take to the water, shows two men loading up the cockpit with what appear to be bombs, while in the second part of the video a seaplane???s wings can be seen being folded inwards in order to make it more compact. Further clips from the film show a seaplane taking off and landing on the water, while another clip from the video shows engineers working on one of the planes before it gets put into service / mediadrumworld.com
