The authorities of Polish southern region of Malopolska (Lesser Poland) confirmed that recently they received a letter of formal notice from European Commission regarding violations of fundamental rights of LGBTIQ people. The commission warned Malopolska that the region might be blocked from EU financial grants for years 2021-2027 if it won't retreat the anti-LGBT legislature passed by the regional lawmakers. Malopolska might lose even 2.5 billion Euro of European funds.
