In addition to the annual Dog Show in the Duchess of Rothesay Avenue, there will be sixty elderly people from the local community taking part in a Tea Dance in the Walled Garden Pavilion. This is an event that takes place twice a month, usually in the House but relocated in the Walled Garden for this special occasion. It's part of Dumfries House's Integrated Health and Wellbeing programme and is run in conjunction with East Ayrshire Council's Vibrant Communities service, aiming to combat loneliness among local elderly people. His Royal Highness attended one of the tea dances last Christmas at Dumfries House.
