Celebrity rights activist Bianca Jagger (C, behind flag), 72-year-old former actress and ex-wife of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, leads a march against the construction of an inter-oceanic major canal in her native Nicaragua, in La Fonseca, a remote village along the proposed canal route that would be destroyed by the project, on August 15, 2017. Demonstrators were protesting against plans to build a major waterway that Nicaragua's leader hopes will rival the Panama Canal to the south. Activists estimate that between 30,000 and 120,000 people could be displaced from their land by the development. / AFP PHOTO / Inti OCON
