Held at London's Vintner's Hall, this year's event saw record entries from all over the globe, heralding the arrival of some bold newcomers to the spirits premier league. More than 200 award-winning bottles of spirits were last night showcased at the prestigious annual International Wine and Spirit Competition. A record number of entries - more than 2,500 - were narrowed down to the finest examples before being presented at London's Vintners' Hall. Gin has been a particular area of growth with the IWSC receiving nearly 400 gin entries from 35 different countries this year - an enormous 571 per cent increase since 2013. The IWSC said: "Gin has continued to dominate the aperitif scene - as producers experiment with new craft creations and evermore obscure botanical concoctions." SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS. ?
