England's blackcurrant farmers this week harvested the last of the year's bumper crop. Farmers have grown a staggering 10 billion blackcurrants for the drink Ribena - amounting to 10,000 tons. A staggering 95 per cent of all the blackcurrants farmed in the UK end up going into the drink and across the UK this will total 12 billion in 2017. Visitors to Ribena's 300-acre blackcurrant farm in Flimwell, East Sussex, yesterday enjoyed seeing behind the scenes and picking some of the fruit themselves. SEE OUR COPY FOR DETAILS. ?
