(1/27/2017) Lalibela, Amhara region, Ethiopia. Church of San Jorge. The Church of St. George is the best preserved of the set of orthodox temples carved in stone of Lalibela, in Ethiopia. This rock deposit, that sinks its origins in the medieval time, was constructed like a representation of Holy Land by the Zague Dynasty. Today, the Lalibela temples continue their religious activity and receive visits from pilgrims who are confused with curious tourists to discover the framework of passages between stones that unite with each other.
