(1/28/2017) Nakuto lab rock church, Amhara region, Lalibela, Ethiopia. Several women go to pray at the monastery of Nakuto Lab. King Lalibela's nephew, Na'akueto La'ab (also writes Nakuto Lab) reigned in Ethiopia at the beginning of the XIIIe century and was one of the last rulers of the Zagoue dynasty. Legend has it that he prayed lengthened on swords. Like King Lalibela, he built a troglodyte church, the church of Nakuto Lab, located 4 km from the town of Lalibela in a spectacular site, nestled on a cliff.
