The situation in the Netherlands is quickly escalating after they denied landing rights earlier today to the Turkish minister Cavusoglu and minister Kaya. Minister Kaya later sneaked into the country by car but was also briefly stopped by police . The city of Rotterdam called off a state of emergency on the area around the Turkish consul meaning nobody is allowed in the area unless you live there. The Turkish consul tried to leave the embassy despite the state of emergency but was stopped by the police. A discussion was started with the consul stating he was a diplomat and he had right to go outside, however as by state of emergency he was not allowed to leave. Later that night the consul did came outside at the front of the Embassy, this because that part of the street was considered to be Turkish ground and therefor not part of the state of emergency. He talked with the press and filmed hundreds of Turkish Dutch citizens protesting and screaming for Erdogan. Situation developing. Pictures show the Turkish consul being stopped by the police and later on going outside at the other side of the Turkish Embassy.
