Pictured: The leaf like shapes. These incredible shapes in a dry lake look remarkably like leaves. The patterns in the lake bed are an astonishing 100-metres-long and look just like leaves because they have the same shape and even have the same 'veins' inside. But the shapes are in fact made up from a mixture of sand and salt that are part of a huge industrial salt farm. These amazing aerial photographs were taken above Owens Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Inyo County, California, USA.
