The wood floors were painted in Railings by Farrow and Ball and large scale comfortable furniture was chosen for the family sitting room. A Bunny sofa from Soane is covered in a Christopher Howe fabric whilst the armchair and footstool are from Kingcombe. The painting is by Polish Juliusz Joaniak. Built in 1850 as a two-up two-down it had been extended at both ends by a previous owner providing a sitting room and a play room TV area opening onto the garden with the kitchen and dining room in-between. An enfilade view through three rooms was a bonus. Although the cottage was in good condition the new owners wanted to put a definite individual stamp on the place and create a sophisticated garden where there was just lawn and a few shrubs. *** TEXT AVAILABLE ***
