Full size bunk beds were fitted by Matthew Collins in the children's room. The cottage was known locally as the Dolls House before it was extended and here the daughter has a Holz house to play with. The walls are papered in an Osborn and Little stripe, a Polish rug warms the floor and white cotton twill was chosen for the curtains and pelmet by Drapes Design. Built in 1850 as a two-up two-down it had been extended at both ends by a previous owner providing a sitting room and a play room TV area opening onto the garden with the kitchen and dining room in-between. An enfilade view through three rooms was a bonus. Although the cottage was in good condition the new owners wanted to put a definite individual stamp on the place and create a sophisticated garden where there was just lawn and a few shrubs. *** TEXT AVAILABLE ***
