Entitled: "Victory Bonds will help stop this. Kulture vs. humanity". Poster shows a Canadian soldier holding a drowned Red Cross worker and raising his fist at the sailors on the nearby German submarine. Poster is a reference to the sinking of the Canadian Red Cross transport ship Llandovery Castle. The Canadian Red Cross was established in the fall of 1896 as an affiliate of the British Red Cross Society (then known as the National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded in War). Canada's involvement in the WWI began in 1914, with Canadian war bonds called "Victory Bonds" after 1917. The first domestic war loan was raised in November 1915, but not until the fourth campaign of November 1917 was the term Victory Loan applied. No artist credited, 1918.
