Transmission electron micrograph of smooth endoplasmic reticulum from an interstitial cell of the testis. The configuration of the smooth reticulum seen here is difficult to distinguish from that in a Leydig cell of the testis, a cell from the corpus luteum of the ovary, or any other steroid-secreting cell.
