Transmission electron micrograph of the cytoplasm of a cell from a ductulus efferens of a ground squirrel. These epithelia contain membrane-limited spherical granules that appear to be large primary lysosomes, but their moderately dense homogeneous content makes them morphologically indistinguishable from the secretory granules of glandular cells.
