People hold on September 29, 2012 a banner, featuring late Polish President Lech Kaczynski and the slogan: "It Was a Coup," alluding to the April 10, 2010 plane crash in which the Polish leader died, during a demonstration in Warsaw. Tens of thousands of opponents of Poland's centrist government massed in the capital on September 29 for a protest called by unions, an ultra-Catholic movement and politicians. Police were yet to give a figure for the marchers numbers, while protest organizers put turnout at 100,000. Mustered by organizations including the Solidarity trade union, the ultra-Catholic media broadcaster-cum-political movement Radio Maryja and the main conservative opposition party Law and Justice, the demonstrators flooded in from across Poland.
