Pierredon Provence Hidden in a valley in the midst of 650 hcts of vines, olives and almonds this ancient abbey survives as the private home of an Italian family. The architectural and design studio of Alexander and Bruno Lafourcade were commissioned to completely refurbish and modernise the 8 bedroom/6 bathroom property which, during the mid 20th century, was home to the artist Jean-Martin Roch. Typical of the Lafourcade's work is the use of antique materials, subtle paint colours, historic proportioning of doors and windows and the restoration of all original elements which creates a particular harmony and ambiance. The house is furnished simply with overscaled Italian sofas and chairs for relaxing, a well equipped kitchen and a variety of outdoor dining locations for any time of the day.
