The V&A’s Royal Photographic Society Collection © Victoria and Albert Museum, London Horace W. Nicholls was a photo-journalist, he documented the Boer War (1899- 1901), and the gold and diamond mines in Africa. Nicholls was also responsible for a famous series entitled "Women at War", in the first world war and pictures of people at social events such as Henley, Derby and Ascot.
