Operation Overlord Normandy Trucks with soldiers of the 32nd Field Artillery Battalion Platoon of the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army. The photo shows B Company and C Company with a 105 mm Howitzer attached to one of the trucks. It is named after Mount Etna in Italy. The 1st Division was one of the two divisions that stormed Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on D-Day suffering high casualties. It secured Formigny and Caumont in the beachhead.
