Lao Yu of Huayan village was returning home after herding cows in the mountains of Baoshan in southwest China's Yunnan province when the bear found him. He commented: "As I walked home I felt something was scratching my pants. By looking back I was surprised to find a black bear cub is following me while scratching my pants from time to time." Yu said his surprise instantly changed to fright, as he feared that an adult bear may be close by. So Yu tried several times to leave the baby bear in the forest but each time it made its way back to him and continue to follow him home. When Yu got home he sent the little bear to the local Forest Public Security Bureau who revealed that the youngster is around three months old and should still be taking milk from it mother. Officer Li then became the youngster's new carer and set about feeding him some milk and looking after it.
