The views over the Umbrian countryside are glorious from the front this ancient house, created from part of an old church, and yet it is just a few steps from the village centre. The owner who is Austrian and married to an Italian has created a stylish 4 bedroom, 4 bath holiday home, sensitive to the architecture by leaving original brick walls exposed and creating vibrancy and warmth by using red accent colours in several rooms. She travels a lot and likes to collect interesting and colourful textiles and rugs in Morocco and India. Although the interiors are simple there is a lovely atmosphere of light and shade, fresh cotton chair covers and a French-style kitchen. With a superb climate the outdoor spaces are an extension of the house, the covered dining terrace is used year-round, furnished with a large table and comfortable cane chairs.
