Protest demanding social justice, Tel Aviv, Israel - 03 Sep 2011
Israel's tent protest marked a climax point Saturday as some 400,000 people took to the streets demanding social justice in what is being heralded as the biggest protest in Israel's history.
Some 300,000 gathered in Tel Aviv's State Square after marching from the city's Habima Square. Charlie Bitton, leader of the 1970's movement the Black Panthers lead the marchers. They are expressing dissatisfaction over the high cost of living and will try to fulfill the organizers' vision of the "million-man march."
