Holocaust survivor Evelyn Askolovitch poses in Paris on November 21, 2024. Evelyn Askolovitch was born on July 15, 1938 in Amsterdam (Netherlands). She was arrested on March 12, 1943 in Amsterdam and deported to the Dutch camps of Vught (June 6, 1943) and Westerbork (July 2, 1943). She was then sent to the German camp of Bergen-Belsen on February 15, 1944. She was released on January 21, 1945, during an evacuation organized by the Red Cross to be exchanged for German prisoners of war.
