The Hollywood legend, who turns 70 on January 18, was arriving at the Georgian hotel in Santa Monica on the evening of December 11, 2024 when he was greeted by well-wishers and autograph hunters. Despite begrudgingly agreeing to sign a couple of autographs on his way in he then refused to interact with a handful of die-hard fans who had waited for him at the hotel entrance. One fan pleaded: “Mr. Costner, I’ve been trying for years.” Another asked him to sign his baseball and a third added: “We supported Horizon, we’ve seen it like five times. There’s only a few of us, why not? Just do one each. Please!” But their requests fell on deaf ears as Costner turned his back on them and trudged off to his event, seemingly in no mood to socialize.
