A MOTHER'S PRIDE! A young lion cub nestled close to his mother as she listened for the calls of her pride. She stayed behind to look after her young while the rest of the pride went to hunt in the Chobe National Park, Botswana. William Steel said, “Lions have a very close bond with their pride and that starts from a young age. Cubs are often seen cuddling up with their mother as well as other pride members. We had heard the faint calls of the mother while following the tracks of the female and cubs. As we came around the next corner, the female lioness was out in the open. To our surprise, just a few moments later, a solo cub made its way out from a nearby bush. We were thrilled to have this incredible experience all to ourselves." “After a few minutes, she guided the cub back into the bush and left to follow the calls of the rest of the pride. Leaving the cub hidden in the foliage. It is always incredible to see the cute intimate behaviour from such a formidable predator.
