A stag screaming to get a females attention, BUSHY PARK, LONDON, ENGLAND, COMICAL IMAGES of a stag screaming for the attention of females during rutting season have been captured.
Images show the stag with foliage decorating his antlers in the hope it will attract a lover. Other image show him braying and screaming to show his dominance over other males that may be in the area.
Rutting season can be dangerous for people who are visiting parks as stags, who weigh over 25 stone, can be quite unpredictable and so it is better to keep a safe distance of over 50 metres away and never attempt to touch or feed the deer.
These images were captured by sales manager Paul Way (53) from Cardiff, Wales.
Paul captured the romantic deer in Bushy Park, London on his Canon R5. Lens - Canon EF 300 F2.8 ii.
“The photo with the stag with his mouth open is my favourite,” said Paul
“I love the way you can see into his mouth.
“Every moment is different.
“Your subject is constantly moving giving the opportunity to capture photos from different angles and in different light conditions.
“Bushy Park has 100’s of deer and stags freely roaming.
“The rutting season happens every year from late September to early November.
“I had been planning and looking forward to the visit for several weeks and was incredibly excited.
“The visit didn’t disappoint.”
